Mike Summers - September 2016:
Went down to Miami on a redeye to see a Marlin's Ballgame. We started by making the long drive to Key West for breakfast. That may seem like a long drive for breakfast, but if you haven't been there, it's worth it! Here's a website for things to do there (Website:
http://www.fla-keys.com/
). We ate at the Ocean's Edge Hotel's Restaurant, which is right on the ocean! (Website:
https://www.oceansedgekeywest.com/about/nearby-dining
). We would also recommend the Hogfish Bar and Grill (Website:
http://www.hogfishbar.com/
). Don't forget to visit some iconic places like the Tennessee Williams Museum or Ernest Hemmingway's House or the Southernmost Point Buoy (Website:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southernmost_point_buoy
). Heading back to Miami we visited Joe's Stone Crab (Website:
https://www.joesstonecrab.com/
) on south beach for dinner. Here's two websites for south beach and what it has to offer along with things to see and do:
http://web.miamibeachfl.gov/visitors/scroll.aspx?id=14134
and
http://www.miamiandbeaches.com/places-to-see/south-beach-art-deco-district/
. We stayed at a Hotwire Hotel in Pembroke Pines, which was fairly close to everything that we wanted to see!
